Anne: Literature has a language barrier, and it’s very hard to understand foreign literature. I believe there are definitely borders in literature. But music has no borders. That’s a good point of music.

Ken: Wait a minute. What do you mean by “music has no borders”?

Anne: (1)

In my opinion, this demonstrates that music has no borders.

Ken: Well, actually, the problem is not so simple. (2)

That’s why I think there are borders in music after all.

It is often said that you will be in a big trouble if you pretend to be familiar with something that you actually don’t know well. Today you can send your information to a lot of people easily, so you have to be very careful.

It is often said that you will make a big mistake if you know something a little bit and depend on it too much. You have to be very careful because you can have others know your thoughts or opinions very easily today.

If you learn something from others, pretend to know it from the beginning, and tell others about it, you will probably have difficulty [ difficulties ] later.

※「痛い目にあう」= 「困る、苦労する」 be in trouble / have difficulty [ difficulties ]

Even experts have to be careful because they tend to forget that they are not experts in other fields.

Even if you are an expert in your field, you have to be careful. It is likely that you know little in other fields.

「~しがちである」tend to / have a tendency to
