in a ( big ) cityも可。
in the country が普通。
theを使う。

     in cities

   in the country

              ◎in that country →これなら確実。

There is something wrong with this TV.
= Something is wrong with this TV.
あるいは I felt sick [ ill ].

About one month after I began to live by myself in cities, there was something wrong with me.

Something was wrong with me after living alone in the city for about a month.

②「医者に診てみてもらう」 go to [ see  /  consult  ] a doctor

I felt worried and went to ( see ) a doctor.

I worried a lot and consulted a doctor.

( medical ) checkup [check-up ] =( medical ) examination を使って what kind of
        checkup I had

check [ check up ] = examine        を使って   how he / she checked me (up)

how he / she examined me
あるいは examine の英英辞典の定義( If a doctor examines you, he or she looks at your body to
check that you are healthy )
を利用して、 how he / she looked at my body to check that I was
 healthy

I don’t remember what kind of checkup I had.

I don’t remember how he / she looked at my body to check that I was healthy.

All I remember is that ~.

All I remember now is that he said “You are not used to the life in the new environment.” ,  that I
did agree with him, and that I felt relieved [ relaxed ].

I only remember believing what he said, “You haven’t gotten used to [ adjusted to ] the new
surroundings
[ the new life in the city ] yet.” and feeling easy [ safe ].
